Oh Gee Boutique.

| On :

Okay, so I was on the fence about posting this....just because I really know nothing about makeup...I just...experiment. Everything I know, I learned from my sister....and youtube haha

But anyway, I stumbled across these brushes when I was watching a video...and I was so intrigued...they had similar appearances to the 'sigma' brushes...but I R E F U S E to pay over 15 bucks for a brush....haha oops. So I saw these...and they looked pretty decent online so I figured, what the hell, why not.

the handle is so cute! gold and black are my cup of tea

One week later, these babies were in my loving hands.

So a little background, 'Oh gee boutique' is owned by Brianna (or bri) aka ohgeeitsbribri on youtube, she's seriously the bomb. She has THE CUTEST jewelry, similar to stuff you'd see in Brandy or in Target....or Forever 21, but it's so inexpensive! I love it! The brushes come in a set of 4, but because I was unsure how these would work out....I didn't jump the gun and buy all of them.....but I really wish I would've. There's a tapered, domed, flat, and angled brush to choose from as a set....or buy them individually...which I did. I got the tapered and flat brushes as testers.

PS if you order, there's a surprise on that thank you card ;)

The shipping was fast and the packaging was adorable. On the outside.....she actually writes your name. Not a total big deal, but it's always nice when you're personally thanked and recognized. Secondly the packaging was so cute! I thought it would just all be shoved in the manila envelope.......nope! it was wrapped in tissue paper with stickers tucked into them. So cute.

The brushes themselves, h o l y c r a p! I was so surprised of the quality, not only because they were inexpensive, but because usually when I order brushes from online shops....they're so......scratchy... these seriously feel like you're being kissed by little stuffed animals all over your face. Lame, I know, but seriously, they're THAT soft. The Handle is a little bulky, but that's okay, because it actually rests comfortably in your hand. But the most important thing......HOW WELL DOES IT BLEND?!
I use the tapered brush for my concealer, and it works like a charm. No streaks, no loose bristles shedding everywhere, it's just a great brush, AND IT'S ONLY $10! Can't beat that haha
The flat brush, I use for my liquid foundation, obvi, and again, it's great. It blends so effortlessly, I can't even begin to describe it words, haha. Take my word, you NEED to try these out :)

All in all, if you're looking to get a great quality brush, with out dishing out a wad of dough, these are definitely a great option! Take my advice, get the whole set! They're so soft, and it's such a great deal!

So how would I rate it?
OBVI Bri's site will have a lot more (and way better) info about the brushes so make sure you visit her site :)

The Mr. & Mrs.

| On :

So not too long ago......Nathan and I officially tied the knot....and I know, we're young yadda-yadda. But have no fear, I'm going to clear up a few things about the whole thing, because some people...they were a little.....well let's just say they weren't very nice.
------------------------------
So for those of you who know Natha and I, you know we've been togther for a long time. This December will make it 6 years (holysmokes). We were going to get married eventually, it was inevitable.
But anyways... Nathan and I had decided long ago that one of us joining the Military was a fantastic idea, being that we both had been in that lifestyle pretty much our entire lifes...
And TAG HE WAS IT, hehe. Actually he really wanted to join the Air Force, so TADA, enlisted he went. Most of you probably already know this, but the Military doesn't care if you're dating. If you're not married, you find your own way to follow your significant other around to duty stations and you live seperately most of the time. SO! Since we were going to get married anyway, we figured 'why not make it official on paper that we we're 100% certain that we'll get to actually stay together.'

Enter the small wedding.
Literally, it took 5 minutes. It took me longer to get ready, haha. I didn't expect to get emotional...because it was just a little cermony. Nothing fancy. But we both cried....haha It was a fabulous day, it really was....But the thing that shocked me, was that a lot of people...completely lost their minds.

I get it, Nathan and I are young, we have our whole lives ahead of us, but honestly, I can't even begin to picture life without Nathan. Call it cliche', but I'm 10000000% certain that he's the one for me. We've had our ups and downs, but really, who hasn't? We work it out, we've been together for so long that we've...essentially....grown up together. We obviously wouldn't have followed through with the wedding if we both weren't on the same page. And no...I didn't force Nathan into this....he was the one that actually suggested it first.

MOVING ON, I heard from the grape vine some of my "friends" and family members had a few assumptions of their own as to why we got married, one of the most common one, was that I was pregnant. HAHAHAHAHHA no. No bun in the oven for this chickadee. Sorry.
Another bizarre thing I heard was that I was marrying Nathan just for the Money....haha, again...no.

The things people say...pretty bizzzzzaaareeee. None the less, Nathan and I are incredibly happy, and thanks a million to everyone that has been so supportive :') We love you guys!

I know that a lot of people really don't care, but I wanted to take this opportunity to get this out there, clarify a few things, and just....share the good news, cause honestly this was one of the best days ever, haha. Have no fear, we're still having a 'real' wedding and a lot of people will be invited!

Yes, our officiant wore shorts and a tank top..
she was on her way to work haha she was so nice

Jawbreaking, Declared, & Cosmic shoes... OH MY!

| On :

Recently, one of my friends Charles started re-vamping shoes, and lemme tell ya! This guy's got something special! I had always wanted a pair of Galaxy Vans for a while, but I refused to pay over $50 for someone to paint my shoes...so I figured 'eh do it yourself!' Easier said than done. So luckily, I discovered that Charles could do them for me and for a really good price too!

They're so cute and they really go with anything (I was really worried that I wouldn't be able to pull em off)! Naturally, I chose pair em' with two of my favorites! It was a little warmer today, so I decided to bust out my Declared flannel with my Jawbreaking tee tucked in underneath.
YOU should definitely check out these lovely companies:

Eskimo Living

| On :

When you were little, did you ever wish you knew what it was like to be an eskimo and live in the cold? Yeah I did....and now I wish I never wondered it.

Being born in Hawaii and raised in Japan, I never really saw snow. Well no, okay. It snows in Japan, but nothing like it does here in Maine. It's kind of crazy how much it snows here, like it's benching on ridiculous. Someone here told me it snows more in Maine than it does in Alaska at times,
SAY WHAT?!

But hollluh for that eskimo life....I guess...haha

Oh boy

| On :

I've wanted to do this for a while now, this whole...blogging thing. I mean, I've had a tumblr for years now, so why not step up into the big boy leagues. Partly inspired by tumblr.......and primarily inspired by my lovely sister's blog: The Girl and Boy , I've taken it upon myself to test out the waters in the blogging world....So...here it goes...

I suppose I should start out with an introduction of some sorts, so Hi. I'm Angela. Your not so typical 19 year old trying to figure out what in the heck she wants out of life. If there's anything you need to know about it, it's that I'm completely obsessed with anything artistic. Photography pretty much dominates my life, and if there's ever an opportunity to whip out good ol Nikkita (the name that my sister gave to the Nikon), then I'm there. I'm no Martha Stewart, but I do enjoy a little DIY-ing here and there and I'm not afraid to admit that I love food. Food, cats, and photography. That's pretty much my life in a nutshell. I wish I was kidding, but I'm not. I'm literally obsessed with my cats, trust me, you'll see lots of them.

I wish I could say 'EXPECT GREAT DIY'S AND SUPER CUTE OUTFIT OF THE DAYS AND FASHION ADVICE' from this blog....but I really don't know what's gonna wind up on this blog...but I guess that's kinda like everything in my life, I'm pretty spontaneous, pretty...... live-in-the-moment-ish....but I can promise you, I'll give you a good laugh.

xx
