So now that summer has gone and Autumn is here, that can only mean one thing.....  HOLIDAY GIFT SETS! It's a great way to test out some brands that you otherwise might not choose to indulge in. Alt least, that's how I see it. I love high end brands, but sometimes their price tags turn me away\...enter in the holiday value sets....

Rant or Rave: Boots No7 Beautifully Matte Foundation

Hello Sugarplums! Next up in the seriously lacking series is the Boots No7 Beautifully Matte Foundation. Now, I don't know about you...but I love my face looking matte over looking dewy. Don't know what it is...I just...don't do the dew (hehe) So I naturally gravitate towards things that claim to be mattefying, but not without researching first. While I don't let other's experiences sway my decision too much, I do tend to scour through makeup alley, just because that site lets me down. In this instance, I'm very, very glad that I didn't listen to what other had to say.

Let's be real for a second, as much as we all love high-end makeup, sometimes (all the time) our wallets don't love it quite as much. Now, I'm not saying I'm a cheap-o, I splurge like any other girl...but when you're living on your own and you got bills, sometimes splurging isn't always in the cards. So, over the years I've picked up some little tips and tricks and discovered a few hidden gems along the way. This week, my favorite inexpensive brushes! 

Comfort Zone - Wet n' Wild & SOHO

 

When it comes to eye shadow, Wet n' Wild always takes the cake. They're SO pigmented and so so SO affordable! I do have to say that 80% of their shadows are shimmery....so if you're more of a matte kinda gal, then be weary of that when making your selection. Since it's fall, and since Walgreen's was having a sale, I picked up one of their new-er 8pans called Comfort Zone, appropriately named, because these are natural/neutral shades that s-c-r-e-a-m fall time.

San Francisco Dreamin' ☾BH Cosmetics Review

Ah, San Francisco. A piece of my heart will always be in that beloved city, there's so much to love about it. Just thinking about it warms my heart. Thus, when BH Cosmetics announced their California collection, I needed to get my hands on the San Francisco palette....& trust me, you'll want to once you take a peek at it.

So, I was flipping through the Sally's flyer and this brand came up, for buy 2 get 1 free! So OBVIOUSLY, I had to check it out. My Sally's always has a really limited selection of things, so while I was out for errands in New Hampshire, I decided to stop by the one in Rochester, just to see if they had anything different, and while their stock was extremmeeellly limited as well, I still found a couple things that our Sally's doesn't have ahha. **I actually made two trips.....cause I was close range of another one when I was out with my mother-in-law hehe ** This post is image heavy, you've been warned haha
